These plants are native to the tropical regions of the Americas. In the wild, some monsteras can climb up to 60 feet tall and create natural fenestrations to provide sunlight to its lower leaves. The Monstera is a genus of roughly 50 flowering plants with foliage often marked with naturally occurring fenestrations (the holes). Their aerial roots. Monstera Adansonii Care
Location: keep in a warm, humidity indoor location with bright, indirect light.
Soil: This plant likes an acidic, Peat-Based, well-draining potting mix.
Watering: water when top 2 inches of soil is dry, do not keep soil wet all of the time; allow to dry out. water once a week in spring/summer, and down to once every 2-3 weeks in the cooler months
Temps: the monstera Adansonii grows best in temps between 60ºF - 85ºF. As this plant loves humidity, mist weekly or place near a humidifier. Keep away from drafty locations.
